Immunity Tonic

This little beauty will become your best friend, it’s great for kickstarting your digestion and building up your immune system. It gives you a much-needed boost when in the midst of illness and helps you kick that thing to the curb in record time. Easy to whip up and just add hot water for serving. This recipe makes approximately 500 mls of concentrated juice.

Ingredients

1 large finger of ginger root

2 fingers of turmeric root

2 medium lemons

1 orange (or 2 mandarins)

1 cup of filtered water

honey or your preferred sweetener

Method

Cut the ends off the orange and the lemon and pop everything other than the honey into a blender. Blend until you have a thick juice consistency and then strain it through a sieve to remove any unwanted lumps, this mixture forms the concentrated juice that is stored in the fridge for up to 3 days in a glass bottle or jar. (makes about 500 mls)

Serving

 

In a cup or glass use approximately 50 grams of the concentrated juice with hot filtered water and stir in a tsp of honey. We’ll have you back on your feet in no time.
